The 3 × 3 World Basketball Championship was held in Antwerp from June 21 to 26. Our team played decisively, winning a gold medal without losing a match. Dejan Majstorović was chosen MVP of the tournament, as well as player of the best team of the tournament, along with players from Lithuania and Belgium.

Our five-time world champions are also the ongoing European champions and bronze medal winners at the Olympic Games in Tokyo last year.

The embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Belgium supported the national team during the Championship. Ambassador Aleksandar Tasić congratulated on the great victory and he expressed our wishes for gold at the next Olympic Games. He praised the team for the dedicated game and uttered that they are the true ambassadors of their country.
