On November 30, Ambassador Dr. Marina Jovićević spoke with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg.

In a conversation with Ambassador Sylvie Lucas, Secretary General of MAE Luxembourg, Ambassador Jovicevic expressed gratitude to Luxembourg for supporting Serbia's European integration and for the interest that Luxembourg has always shown for our region. It was jointly assessed that in the previous period, there was a significant improvement in bilateral relations between Serbia and Luxembourg.

Ambassador Jean-Louis Thill, Director of European Affairs at MAE Luxembourg, thanked Ambassador Jovićević for the good cooperation in the past four years. In the conversation, mutual satisfaction was expressed with the development of bilateral cooperation, but it was assessed that there is room for further deepening and intensification of the meeting at the political level. Ambassador Jovićević expressed the expectation that negotiations with the EU will continue until the end of this year with the opening of new clusters, as well as that the visit of Foreign Minister of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn to Serbia will be realized next year.


 

Ambassador Jovićević thanked Ambassador Beatrice Kirsch, Head of the Protocol in MAE Luxembourg, for the cooperation and assistance provided to the Embassy, especially in connection with high-level political visits, and expressed the expectation that such cooperation would continue in the future. Ambassador Kirsch pointed out that several high-level visits have been organized in the past four years, and that this is the best proof of the intensification of bilateral relations between the two countries.
