On April 21, Ambassador dr Marina Jovićević met with the Marshal of the Court of the Grand Duke of Luxembourg, H.E. Ms. Yuriko Backes.

It was concluded that in the last two years, bilateral relations between the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Republic of Serbia have improved, that visits have been exchanged at the level of the Prime Minister and that the President of the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Mr. Aleksandar Vučić awarded the highest decoration of the Republic of Serbia to the Prime Minister of Luxembourg, H.E. Mr. Xavier Bettel. In the conversation, the possibilities to organize visits at other levels were also considered.

The process of European integration of Serbia and the challenges along were also discussed. With that regard, Ambassador Jovićević expressed gratitude to Luxembourg for its continuous support to Serbia.

Ambassador Jovićević informed on the process of mass vaccination in Serbia, with over 3 million doses of vaccines of 4 different producers administered so far and the solidarity that Serbia has shown towards its neighbors.  She has also informed on the measures within the health system that have been taken to provide treatment for Covid-19 patients. The economic and social consequences of the health crisis were also considered.
