The ninth ceremony of the European Prize for Literature was held on May 23, in the crowded hall Concert Noble in Brussels. European Commissioner for Education, Youth, Sports and Culture Tibor Navračić and Vice President of the European Parliament Dimitrios Papadimulis presented the award to Serbian writer Darko Tuševljaković, author of the novel "Jaz". Since it was founded this prestigious award in 2009, this is the third Serbian writer who gets it. (previously they were Jelena Lengold and Uglješa Šajtinac).

The young winning authors from Albania, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Greece, Iceland, Latvia, Malta, Montenegro, Netherlands, Turkey, Great Britain and Serbia, have been recognized as exceptional, the new European literary talents.

Ambassador V. Arsić attended the award ceremony.
