In the period from 21 to 25 November 2016, in Brussels, the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Kingdom of Belgium organized training for ten diplomats and civil servants from the Republic of Serbia.

Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Office of the Minister without portfolio Responsible for European Integration, the Cabinet of the Chief Negotiator for the Accession of the Republic of Serbia to the European Union and the European Integration Office had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge about the bilateral relations between the two countries, the Belgian attitude towards Serbia's European integration, foreign policy of the Kingdom of Belgium, as well as the organization and methods of work of these institutions through lectures of experienced diplomats and civil servants from the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Kingdom of Belgium, the Federal Parliament of the Kingdom of Belgium, the European Parliament and the European External Action Service.

Seminar is estimated by participants as extremely useful for their future work, because it shed light on the specific aspects of their field in a new way, focusing on current issues within the competence of the participants (eg. migration, which were not represented in previous years) and through interactive method that offered answers to many questions.

This form of bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Kingdom of Belgium has been going on for fifteen years and tens of diplomats and civil servants from Serbia had the opportunity to use acquired knowledge from the seminar in the practice.

During their stay in Brussels, the participants visited the Embassy Republic of Serbia and the Mission of the Republic of Serbia to the European Union, talked with colleagues and convey the impressions of the seminar.
