On Friday 28th of November, on the occassion of the 100th aniversary of First World War, Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxemburg and the Serbian Cultural Centre in Luxembrug, organised the screening of the film „Where the Yellow Lemon Blooms“ with an appropriate tourist presentation of Serbia. The scenario for the film was written by Milovаn Vitezović, while the film was directed by Zdrаvko Šotrа. With Dragan Nikolić as a story teller, the film leads through the events that led to the retreat of the Serbian King Peter the First, regent Alexander Karadjordjevic, government, army and people to the Greek island of Corfu (Kerkyra).

Before the screening of the film Ambassador Vesna Arsić and Marko Katanić, on behalf ofg the Serbian Cultural Centre, address the public. The event hosted Christine Martin, head of the Welcom and Integration Office of the Ministry for Family and Integration of the Grand Duchy of Luxemburg, Gaston Vogel, one of the most prominent lawyers and public figures in Luxemburg , as well as many other guests from Luxemburg and other countries residing in the Grand Duchy (Spain, Czech Republic, France, Croatia, Russia, Brasil etc.). On behalf of the Embassy the event was organised by the economic counsellor Srdjan Cvijic and consul Ana Kosovac.

Serbian Cultural Centre, with its Serbian language school, is registered as an NGO and it is entirely financed by the voluntary contributions of the Serbian community in Luxemburg.
