On Thursday 25th September 2014 Ambаssаdor Vesnа Arsić and economic counsellor Srdjаn Cvijic met with the representatives of the Serbia International Trade Association (SITA), UNITEE and TUSKON. UNITEE brings together 52 business associations in 17 EU Member States with overall membership of 10 000 enterpreneurs. Companies members of UNITEE are predominantly small and medium enterprises. Turkish Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists (TUSKON) is one of the leading employer organisations in Turkey with approximately 40 000 members with a representative office in Brussels.

The meeting was organised on the occassion of the visit of SITA to Brussels. Cooperation of Embassy and UNITEE dates back from 19th September 2012. when we jointly organised a Conference „Entrepreneurs meet Embassies – Serbia“. 41 representative of companies from Belgium and the Netherlands (35 from Belgium, 6 from the Netherlands) attended the event. Companies present were largely from the following sectors: building and infrastructure, ICT, food industry, textile, transport and furniture. Some of the companies present as a result of the meeting started doing business with Serbia.

As a follow-up to the aforementioned conference in 2012 a trade mission of UNITEE to Serbia was planned.
