The Embassy of Serbia took part in the celebration of the centenary of the capture of the first German flag on the Western Front during the First World War, in Herstael.

After the reconstruction of the battle and symbolic return of the flag to the German ambassador, a representative of the Belgian King, the officials of the region and the city of Liege and diplomatic representatives to Belgium have laid wreaths at the monument of the city-martyr Herstael.
