Directorate for international affairs of the Flemish government and De Warande organized a two days study visit to the province of Brabant ( 17-18 September ) for the ambassadors of European, Asian and African countries.

The visit included a sugar rafinery Tirlemontoise, SESVanderHove company that produces sugar beet seed and Palm brewery, company Imec and Luciad, which have managed to position themselves as world leaders in the field of nanotechnology and geospatial software, as well as neurological laboratory of the University KU Lueven and Photonics Innovation Center of the Brussels University. Company Colruyt has presented its business philosophy of „more for less“in the retail sector.

After visiting these companies and research centers, during the study tour, ambassadors met with representatives of a number of companies that are members of the De Warande, as well as with a governor of province of Brabant ( Lodewijk De Witte) and head of the Cabinet of minister–president of the flemish government ( Mark Andries) who spoke about the future development programs
