On 17th February, 80th anniversary of the death of prince Albert and 75th anniversary of the inauguration of Albert Canal ceremony was held, organized by Administrative Council, responsible for cherishing Prince Albert I memories, army command of Liège and representatives of province of Liège and city of Liège. 

Representatives of allies in the Great War (ambassadors of Great Britain, France, Greece, Serbia as well as ministers-advisers and military attachés of Russia, USA, Australia, Italy and Serbia’s embassies) attended the ceremony and laid wreaths.

This was one of many ceremonies that will be organized for marking the 100th anniversary of the start of the Great War.
