On the occassion of granting the candidate status for membership in the European Union to Serbia, European Movement in Belgium and the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia organised a cultural event entitled „Discover Serbia“. After opening speeches dedicated to the promotion of Serbia to Belgian public, a screening of the documentary film „Day of Youth“ from the Serbian director Jelena Jovčić, was organised. The Q&A session with the author of the film was followed by a concert by a mixed Serbian-Belgian rock& roll band „Petarda“. At the end of the evening, to accompany the tasting of the Serbian specialties, the public had the opportunity to listen to the brass orchestra „Braća Kadrijevi“. This event is part of the series of presentations of European Union member states that the European Movement in Belgium organises for its members.
